Insomnia Sonnet

Do you think, then, that a tea is the most suitable?
Would it quickly calm your anxieties?!
And you could throw your shudders of fear to the ground!
The wings of thought would carry you on the breeze.

Do you think, then, that there would be no repentance?
That the waters would stop running under the bridge?!
That all the sails would thus gather to the pier!
And the siren would sing her charms through the night.

You brought with you the key to destiny...
You broke the lock of dreams so finely
that all silk seems to tear when you breathe.

The pearls rolling over your face fall apart
like mist dispersed on the bank of the river.
Do you think, then, that I will ever understand the scars?
