Magna Carta
There's a magic cheese called Glaston Brie
On offer at the local village green
Where they all like to watch the millet tree
And Yankee pro-nun-see-ay-shun routine.
I get it though. Why can't we all have fun
With the way we say our daily word
Since standardized English has overrun
Regional lingo with words over heard?
But thankfully Yanks get The BBC
So that we as well will fancy a quid
To pay for fried treats from the fresh North Sea
Like fish and chips or a big plate O squid
All washed down with pints of Runny Mead...
Most often served when teaching kings to read.
