Intersecting Sage

I was standing on the corner of Always Last and First
And I found myself watching a procession following three hearses
I find myself here at this intersection, in the middle of nothing, a sagebrush
Capable of with standing the harshness of anything, yet vunerable to the slightest touch

Sun parched by day, yet enduring the fridgid temperatures of my nights
I've been treated like this all of my life so this makes everything seems alright
This ground that surrounds me remind of the terrain of my heart and mind
Each within the first two hearse, caskets filled with desolation leading the line

My spirit has a darkness that can be tasted, hardened and tempered by life
I laid in the third casket watching myself rolling by taking death as my wife
Why should it take so many hearses to deliver what remains of me
Why should it take so many nails for me to wed my destiny

This is a fridgid love, abandoning me at the intersection, my purgatory
Time dam near stands still as I pass through the intersect being recognized be me
There is so much that we want to scream at each other as we watch each other past
But that can't be allowed, it would erase the intersecting of First and Always Last

So silently we watch each other look on as the sagebrush watch over everything
Defying all odds, instead of dying we flower with brilliance creating our own spring
We bring brilliance to nothing, with no one to see and the beauty that we display
Just like the harshness of day and night, like the seasons I have to usher myself on it's way

we know that this is the last time that we will see and recognize each other
I'm bound and chained to this intersection by loneliness, while myself becomes death's lover
There is no need for tears, the ground is dry and would drink them right away
Like the sagebrush, I endure the desert of my intersection with my pain on full display
