DARK INKANTATIONS [HEMISPHERE FORTY FOUR]

HEMISPHERE FORTY FOUR:  DIGITAL GEEK BOY

““You’ll find that life is still worthwhile, if you just smile.” ― Charlie Chaplin

(NETHERWOODS PUBLIC LIBRARY)

Fear and his new companion walk through the library, an air of confidence, every place in the unknown feeling like home.

They make two turns and take the steps to the second floor, the floor with the computers.

The floor is empty, save for one individual, typing furiously, filling the air with a rapid succession of clicks and clacks.

The sound of a brandished weapon.

The sound of madness and fury.

* * *

Orbs intensely looking through thick, thrift store glasses, at the two people standing before him in silence.

After blinking a few times, processing something that he does not fully comprehend, he smiles:

A rolling grin of menace.

[Not totally shore about the smile…  That is just where it went...]
