There are more than a few of you trying to blame my Boo
You think that we're no longer one because of my Boo
What you don't realize is that some of the poetry is true
That it was I Is Me that wouldn't allow Mentality to come through

She fucking loved me hard giving all of herself
A young ass fucking flame burning down til there was nothing left
She knows that after a million fucking years, and a million fucking tears
Although her love for me is true, she really couldn't stay right here

But still my Boo showed patience that went beyond the norm
Giving up not just love, but precious life, praying that I Is Me would conform
The universe knows all secrets and knows that she offered me her heart
But after a year past go, shit we were right back at start

My dreams have once again became nightmares, start to finish with fear
And it's been a long time since my sheets and pillows have seen this many tears
Although we're no longer, she still worries about my health
Haha she wonders if I'm eating right, and if I'm taking care of myself

As I told you my Boo is a gem, a fucking diamond in the rough
It was the ways of I Is Me that made loving loving Mentality so tough
We message each other staying up on each other's shit
And just like a drug, her messages are like taking a fucking hit

My mind clears up, the clouds are starting to rise
My nose isn't running, but I get all glassy eyed
Full of freaking confidence, with my heart steady racing
Is the motherfucker really in fucking love, haha or am I free basing

The decision had to be made to accept what we have for life
Or be fucking greedy and risk her possibly leaving my life
I'll take the love of her friendship for all the time that remains
Rather than risk the chance of never hearing her say my name
