ODE TO LINDA LUSARDI
Italian
her origin,
dark fantasy
was Lusardi
to male readers
of the papers -
some may have dreamt
with her they slept.
Linda Lu's two
arresting view
on the Page Threes
of the 'eighties.
'Luscious' was the
word frequently
used about her
curvy figure.
Since then she's been
on TV screen
without showing
her endowing
as openly
as on Page Three,
Posed at sixty
in bikini,

Ode to one of the much admired British pin up girls of the late 70s and 80s. One soldier who was a fan had his favourite poster picture cremated with him.

She and I are near contemporaries (born only the year before me) so she was a feature of my growing years.
