Fear me not, My Love

Fear me not, my love
For I am not the shackles at your feet
I am not here to weigh you down and keep you bound
I am here to break your chains and keep you free
Fear me not, my love
For I am not here to take from your tree and leave it barren
I am here to keep your soil rich and your roots fed
Fear me not, my love
For I am not here to direct the flow of your energy
I am here to ride beside it; moving it forward
Fear me not, my love
For I am not here to snuff out your flame
I am here to be the oxygen and timber that feeds it
Fear me not, my love
For I will never seek to alter your essence
I am here to bask in its glow
I am here to embrace all that you are
So, fear me not, my love
For there is safety here.
