Thinking about You

Sometimes
I get to thinking
about you,

your being there,
your being near,
your scent
and your smile,
your staying awhile,
our going that mile,
our dialing that dial,

and in
that subdarkness
of feeling our light,
our spending the night,
our holding so tight,
its feeling so right,

I am able
to sense,
to get off
the fence,
and freely release
and calm
my own beast
by being
at peace

while
thinking
of you
in the night.
