Image for the poem linger in my loneliness

linger in my loneliness

please, don't turn away
and close your mind to me
I am love in the moment
my scars speak of my loneliness

I cry out and turn to you
my heart torn speaks illuminations of soul
sacredness incarnate born of flesh
so you could touch me

a woman open to the notion
of commingling with your glory
evoking such a feeling I can't explain
what you've done to me

pain provoked honesty
tells you where to enter me
fill my hollow places
so I don't die in lies
shadowed in secrets

lies I tell myself while you are fascinated elsewhere
I linger in the darkness tasting you
the night was never so bitter
the closer I come the further you pull away

I sanctuary in the damnation of it
I was never so alone
