Straight Talk Live (How Young Is Too Young)
This is one of those controversial musings, I will most likely have more questions than answers, and I will be respectable and humbly to the LGBTQ community in my assessment, and if any reader can explain, who can comprehend the morality, I welcome you to expand on my opinions, I would tremendously value the input.
In the sport’s world, I have read, Siovaughn Fuches-Wade, the ex-wife of former basketball star, Dwayne Wade, and he had petitioned to the court system to block her ex-husband Dwayne Wade’s proceeding to have their biological son, born as, Zion Malachi Airimis Wade name changed legally and then a gender reassignment surgery as time prevails.
This is where my opinions will be casted in the legality of such a complex situation.
When Dwayne Wade did appear on Ellen DeGeneres’ show in 2020, he acknowledged to society as well as the LGBTQ that his son, Zion then decided to live his life as a boy and that he preferred to be called upon as Zaya and at the time he received the support of his family in his revealing.
That is not what I am questioning, my concern is without doubt, and if any parent is willing to support the lifestyle of their child shouldn’t it be with parental guidance, until that child peaks into adulthood.
If this child is leaning toward that lifestyle and it is in his heart, with the parent(s) acceptance, but to satisfy the child’s want at the moment, and to have his name changed legally and then his gender irreversible changed prior to him becoming a legal adult, during the course of that age he could make that sound decision for himself if that is where his mind has adjusted.
In my opinion any age beforehand is not fair, what if this child has regrets later on in life, he will most likely develop some form of post-traumatic stress disorder in a decision he was not ready to accept. In the end blaming his parents for his long suffering.
My outcry is, Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union have supported this child this long, at least make sure this is what he truly wants, in addition, I see no pre-counseling is mentioned on all either side for this child’s lifestyle.
This decision to petition the court for a name change was filed in August 2022 in Los Angles, and according to the child’s biological mother, Siovaughn Fuches-Wade, no acknowledged was warranted or suitable.
I am quite sure it must be diffluent enough, when a parent must come to accept when their child is suffering from gender dysphoria (the condition of feeling one’s emotional and psychological identity to be at variance with one’s both sex) and the thought of a future gender reassignment surgery, but usually that should be a decision made as an adult going forward with their life.
Ms. Siovaughn Fuches-Wade has gone on record to say, her ex-husband, Dwayne Wade, is profiting on the name change of his son and will be making financial games through lucrative commercial endorsements through the LGBTQ community.
His son has modeled for Tiffany and Co and several endorsements are in the works providing his son goes through with his gender assignment surgery.
I now understand why Congress has decided to introduce a bill to stop minor reassignment surgery, a child’s intellect from infancy is not structured like an adult, due in part their mind is developed in stages; infancy, adolescent, and then adulthood., well into the declining states of senior citizenship.
Activists for transgender youth say any resolutions concerning healthcare should be left to children, their parents, and their doctors. Those in Congress or on a state political level of legislation advises teenagers shouldn’t not be permissible to undergo irreversible surgeries.
I totally agree with that ruling set by Congress, at least it give teenagers time to think ahead, with one-on-one counselling.
More on Dwayne’s Wade’s and his ex-wife, Siovaughn Fuches-Wade’s dilemma, the petition was filed in Los Angeles, and in California, various laws, state you must be eighteen years old to get a gender assignment surgery, therefore if a child is under that legal age, do they go to another state that is more open and receptive to this underage practice.
As a Nurse and of Forensic Mental Health, I will have to agree with the American Medical Association who opposes legislation that prohibits gender transition related care for minors, calling such efforts a dangerous intrusion into the practice of medicine.
I will ask this of the LGBTQ community, when should one be referred to as being transgender; does it begin in the mind when that person would like to live as another sex from which he or she was birthed, other than saying that person is gay or a lesbian, in addition, when does the transition of transgender really take effect, does it start when one has to take hormone blockers, identify themselves as the opposite sex, or when they have actually went through the reassignment surgery.
I ask this because they are referring to Dwayne Wade’s son as transgender, and he has not had a reassignment surgery, and I do not know if his son is taking hormone blockers due to the strict laws of Los Angeles.
This is a very controversial musing, and since Dwayne Wade has stated due to his custody rights, he is the sole beneficiary to make all foreseeable decisions concerning his son’s health or general welfare.
In your honest or silent opinion as you ponder this and if you are transgender, ask yourself, who is right in the ordeal? Should the mother’s voice be heard, since her son is acceptable for this lifestyle to block the petition until her son is of legal age?
Or does the father who has supported him allow this to proceed before he turns the legal age of eighteen.
A hearing is set for Dec. 12 in this case
I will update you as this continue to move forward.

As long as you support the child in his/her decision it will he okay. Live your life as you want to. At least wait until you are 18 for surgery. Keep in writing my Queen.

the parent should sit and talk to the child about his or her feelings and get in tuch with others that have gone through this and here the pros. and cons. on it but the parent should stand behind there child on what ever they deside. it got to be very hard for a child to feel they are in the wrong body I can not even begain to understand what going throught there mind.
