I sincerely hope we have reached a point  
when the lack of veracity from a former president  
tilts popularity to the negative  
enough is enough  
 
No Founder and participant in the making of the Constitution  
has ever suggested storming Congress and engaging in violence  
even Jefferson's assertion of the positives of revolution  
don't suggest throwing an election away  
 
Realize that Trump's issues with the truth  
preceded his "reign" in the Oval Office  
check his hostility with Obama  
and the birther ridiculousness  
 
How about the claims of crowd sizes  
"watching a video of thousands cheering  
the death of the World Trade Center",
or "81% of whites killed by blacks"  
 
The lies while orangeman was in office  
are to numerous to document here  
but think about one
his buddy Vladimir Putin  
 
Easy to say his personal relationship with the Russian leader]
was chummy and humorous  
but there is a great disregard for history  
if you think that relationship was a deterrent

the US efforts in the in the Arab Spring  
aid to Bin Laden in Afghanistan

for the intentional disregard of the Constitution  
and cherry picking voting rights laws  
 
I shall always respect a person's right to a different opinion  
but I am allowed to speak to inaccuracies  
to shed light of the attempt to cover politics  
with clouds about relevant topics  
 
Yes you can say fibs are parceled out in politics  
but never have they tried to displace and discredit  
elections that followed the  process of a  
peaceful transition of presidential power  
 
Not asking you to embrace the donkeys
not even aiming to abandon the elephants  
but for those seeking nonviolent expression  
of political preferences....
