This is very delicate yet it says much in few words. There are many things luring in the shades that also might be on their way towards the light, I enjoyed the read!

The metaphor is meaningful and heavy... at first read it's almost motivational to me, Vick... than even in the darkness, something so worthy can bloom into greatness (if you love mushrooms, that is... lol). but I get the themes, too... despair and betrayal... loved the different facets...

But yes even a good idea blooms can be overshadowed by our own ego. Actually It was inspired by thing happened at work.
