The Unchanging City Life

This wonderous city of dreams
Is the place where your screams
Frequently get drowned
By the blending sounds
Of the homeless with their carts
The bangers tagging art
Construction underway
It’s constant disarray
As taxis fight with bicycles
Stop and go, stop and go is the cycle
Heels strike against the pavement
Caught in the grind of enslavement
“Hey, I’m walkin’ here”
In the crowd, I disappear
