WITH A THANKFUL HEART

WITH A THANKFUL HEART
Thankful for all my hardships and thankful for my strife;
Thankful for those who have blessed my life:
to show me what is good, and also show me the bad
how I can be happy, and it's okay too, to be sad;
Thankful for all the lessons that have made me stronger
For holding onto faith and hope when circumstances took longer
Thankful for my family as I am thankful for my friends;
In knowing the ties I must break and fences that I need to mend;
Grateful for the failures and faults and often misgivings
Thankful to know I am only human and amongst the living
Thankful for the lies which would sometimes turn into truth;
Thankful to elders who have remembered their precious youth;
Thankful for times when I believed I had truly nothing;
And thankful in finding that within nothing there's still something
Thankful for memories, dreams, and when things were still unclear;
And for things that retreat for a time and then suddenly reappear
Thankful for those who blessed us while they were here
And the ability to hold those who are still amongst us, so near
Thankful for the earth, oceans and the Heavens up above
Thankful for knowing and experiencing what it is to love
Thankful to know there's hearts that are humbled and true
But, most of all, I can give many  thanks just for YOU🥰💯❤
