Adventure of a lifetime

Woke up with a view of hills
Excited for the day full of thrills
With no expectation of what I gonna witness
thanked almighty and felt blessed

Left for a jungle with a story
Thought that I would make a glory
Starting moving inside and explore
Listening to honks, trumpets and roar

Followed the sound of river
Reached near the point people warned me about
Thinking of what could happen, I started to shiver
It looked dangerous but I didn't shout

Entered a pit and found a tunnel
the stories I heard seemed to be true
walls around me were shrinking like a funnel
Couldn't move freely as if I was glued

walking few steps looked liked a mile
curiosity in my heart was that of a juvenile
beliefs of villagers seemed to be right
the never seen 'alien' was in my sight

He had a face of octopus and body of a horse
but was two legged and smelled like a corpse
I was afraid but I could barely walk
came close to me , as if he wanted to talk

He smelled me, but didn't hurt
after that he uttered some words

Asked my purpose of doing such mistake
his deadly eyes stared at me
I could not answer and could not make a sound
If I would be dead, how I would be found

Hearing his humanly voice I got amazed
into his eyes I gazed
He was hiding somehting I interpret
Being there for long time, could be a moment to regret

He was present on earth before humanity, he claimed
and showed pictures of people of his kind
he was the only one present in that cave
blew my mind, when he said they are bigger than mankind

Of all the information I could digest
talking to him was not short of a test
Gained confidence in asking him the question
to come with me and meet the rest

He warned me that I was crossinng the line
his cave was like his shrine
and threatned me without any guilt
like many others I could be killed

He leaned and put a mat on him
And then his size started to trim
he told he was not an alien as people think
and got out of my vision in a blink

the torch in my hand suddenly blasted
I had noo choice but to turn back
but his words got me so attracted
for this experience, one day I would repack

Seeing me back, everyone was shocked
With the flock of people I got blocked
I knew they had questions in mind
experience I had was one of its kind

I could tell them the whole story
which could be misunderstood or lead me to glory
had lot to share but didn't speak a word
and flew from there like a bird

Experience that I had that day
where I could easily fell prey
It has left a deep thought in my mind
Are we really alone or too blind ?

This poem is out of my imagination. Nothing to deal with reality. I have tried to pen down a short meeting with an alien in the woods.
