ASLEEP WHILE AWAKE
In my befuddled dreams
i feel more awake
than when i roll out of bed
and let the brain dominate;
who's dweller works
to suppress the mind,
and in turn screens the soul
making it harder to find.
And find i must
for humanity's sake,
not least my own
for i'm part of that fate,
from the human condition
which separates -
to a dynamic brotherhood
of enlightened mates.
