KNOWING YOU * KNOWING ME
When I first met you
I felt like I had known you
forever.
Telling you my whole life
story and what I didn't want
ever.
But, you listened to me patiently
and probably thought I'd never
end.
But, who would've guessed we'd
end up today to be more than just
friends?
Over a period time you've also
let me gradually get know the real
you.
A man who gentle, caring, very
compassionate, and oh so real &
true!
You've also survived a life of much
loneliness, pain and have often been
hurt.
I promised to stay beside you, since
I know first hand how it feels to be
burnt.
But, there's extended times we're apart
and I can't wait to be with you once
more.
Time answers all, and someday you
will again smile as you walk thru my
door.
Meeting you has truly changed my life
and I have grown to care for and love you.
I am blessed to have met, known, and love you and I know you feel the same too! ❤💯
