SOMEWHERE
Between us right now,
there’s way too much space,
and there’s no way to get you
to come to this place,
and with me simply unable
to visit you soon,
I may as well be on Earth
with you on the Moon.
As I stare at the sky,
the Moon seems too near,
so I’ll picture you sat
on the Sun. I fear
the distance between us
is too great to bear,
as I imagine us together
out there somewhere.
