The Witch Patch Ch 1 pg 1

[i]
Hide N Seek

“99, 100!” I stop counting. “Ready or not here I come!” I begin the long walk down the hallway of bedroom doors. “Slowly I open the third door on the left,  e v e r    so    slightly  and  enter.”

I hear some commotion in the room.“Shh!” “she’ll hear us!” urges a young girl of 7 in hushed giggles under the bed with her companion.

I scan the bedroom carefully for any “intruders”
I notice a pair of sky blue garden boots with daisies stuck all over them sticking out from under the bed, and a bushy tail next to the boots wagging back n forth.

Playing along I pretend I don’t see them.
“I wonder where Raven is?”saying it loud so she can hear me. I wait a few seconds then wade through the giggles and grab her by her booted feet and shout! “GOTCHA!” then gently pull her out from under the bed! Her companion, a wolf pup named Hero, decides it's “play time!” and starts barking and jumping around the bedroom as puppies tend to do.

Now-now, calm down little pup play time is over. "Hero sniffs around my boots then makes a goofy face." I give him a good scratch behind his  left ear telling him "good boy, that's a good little Hero.

"Come Raven”  lets head downstairs and make some lunch and then after we will head over to Garrisons Farm to catch up with your brothers and get some apples and leaves for the scarecrows and Autumn wreathes.

"But we have apples & leaves here,” said
Raven."I-know-I know,' but old man Garrison is struggling a bit, so I thought we would buy some supplies from him. Plus, we have a bunch of pies to make for the Witches Council Annual Fall Fling Festival and can use all the fruit we can get.
"Yes that's right!" I almost forgot, said Raven excitedly! “I wanna make a chocolate cake too!” “Okay Raven, we can make chocolate cake too.”

To be continued…

“Oh, how rude of me!” I haven’t introduced myself. ‘Hi, I’m Blake Ravens oldest sister and this is our story as told by me.
Ps. We sometimes call Raven, Ravy.
