Broken
She threw my heart against the wall
And from the pieces a chandelier was formed
My soul the chain was wrapped around my brain
It has rusted from all the emotional strain
Ground down to my very last grain
To erase the hurt and forget the pain
Refusing to be reclusive, because of past abuses
I visited Delphi to ask the muses
I was given the mold to reshape my soul
To reclaim my sanity and take control
My world opened up, there was color added
I was offered life as though I never had it
But to me you was life's greatest token
And you would only have me if I was broken
You said there was only beauty in pieces of me
and after a night in your chambers I also agreed
So she threw my heart against the wall
And from the pieces a chandelier was formed
But this time it's dusted each and every day
And I'm taken down and inspected, making sure I'm okay
