Forgetting Tomorrow

We sat down to dinner at seven, playing footsies under the table
After drinks we cuddled on the couch, for a little tv, discussing much later
At ten the kisses began, along with the heavy petting
Something got harder as something else started wetting

Let's work our way to the bedroom, where time starts and stops
You go get ready and I'll make sure that everything is on lock
Eleven-fifteen we reconvene for a liason between the sheets
The petting is rekindled as our bodies and mouths meet

For the next few hours we will chase each other over and under the covers
Dominance continually switching hands, we're both equal right lovers
You're wanting to speed up, while I'm wanting to slow down
I'm trying to rise up, while you're trying to hold me down

At what point do we find our niche
The two of us sexually beginning to click
Giving and taking, power matching power
Seconds rolling into minutes, minutes stopping on hours

We fall asleep in a sweaty, spent heap
Having just traveled the galaxy in bounds and leaps
Here and there we're stirred semi awoke
We share a passionate kiss but no words were spoke

But at some point we turn back to back, each preparing for their own day
The flames die out as we slowly, but steadily move away
At five-thirty, we're no more than dying embers
Yes six in the morning's ashes means we no longer remember

The spring is in our steps like back in our youth
The leisure walks while holding hands both of us discussing our truths
The passion rekindled with the sun of a new day renewing with it's flame
Suddenly extinguished as if we forgot Tomorrow's names
