The Debut

"Who am I?" is what you're probably wondering…
Whether you're one of those bad bitches who locked eyes,
Or perhaps another upcoming sneaker head who aspires,
To get inside whatever kicks I'm loafing around in on any given day,
I'm exploring an unwalked path and so these very kicks pave the way,
The same kicks that I don't need,
I could kick it barefoot and still ring their bells like Karate Kid Shao Dre,
The same kicks that cause the scrubs to be driven away anytime I'm around,
I'm somewhat of a Shake-sphere (Shakespeare) compared to these Shake-squares,
The way the very ingenuity of my verse could rock the ground,
By invoking the supportive stomps of the crowd…
 Like a herd of rampaging rhinos,
That I know will one day rally behind me when the time comes,
Maybe one day I'll become a hero…
Who strives to save a few lives.
My main weapons being common sense...
And intelligence…
Which they claim they never forgot…
These "elephants"….
And yet I stand alone in the Savanna being the only one who clings to elegance, grace, and articulacy…
They act as if that art-icks-you…well let's-see…
A lot of the upcoming seek the riches,
But I'm not cut out for it and so this is my "Great Gatsby",
Old Sport (English Accent),
Not even the golds of Fort Knox could fuel my drive.
No.  This is passion.
And if you can manage to look past the fashion…the clothes…the shoes…the glasses…
Look past the fact that I'm obviously smart,
You'll see that there is something deep,
There within my heart,
And still you ask who I am…
I guess I've answered that question in part,
But if it's a name you're looking for…
