the mother
The mother
I hear the echo of a mother singing lullabies
the soft breath of a dream giving birth to life
With a sigh, a leaf loosens and falls from the oak
to find a way through in the darkness of night
The moment when it is remembered what
gave us the strength to continue a journey.
It was the love song of a mother’s lullaby.
Safely we walk to where to horizon ends
where sea and land mass become intertwined
and we know we walked, with love in heart,
a mother’s lullaby.
I hear the echo of a mother singing lullabies
the soft breath of a dream giving birth to life
With a sigh, a leaf loosens and falls from the oak
to find a way through in the darkness of night
The moment when it is remembered what

It was the love song of a mother’s lullaby.
Safely we walk to where to horizon ends
where sea and land mass become intertwined
and we know we walked, with love in heart,
a mother’s lullaby.
