LOVE AND LUST
Love and Lust, they doth combine
to bid a couple entwine
in the fullest expression
of mutual possession,
In the cause of Nature's plan
of perpetuating Man,
an act of procreation
in guise of recreation.
I see the two personified
in paintings artists have defined.
Love, armed with the Cupid bow,
cheeky winged babe head to toe,
Lust a horned, bearded satyr
serving wine of passion fire.
They pick their pawns for the play
anytime of night or day,
selecting those seeming matched
to produce what is thus hatched,
mixing-matching colours, size,
in terms of heights, hair, skins, eyes,
with some age disparity
to add to the chemistry.
