Things Undone
So many talk of all the things they'd do;
But would not lift a finger, if the chance
Occurred to let their digits do the dance,
So that these talkers can just follow through!
Give me the silent ones, who will not rue
Or turn their eyes from my critical glance;
And find the challenge offered must enhance
Desires that aren't spoken, (some eschew);
Let's take these opportunities, not draw
Excitement from the centre of mere dreams
That pile up on the pavements, where they're due
To be discarded. Who'd set any store
In feeble intonations? Let's have screams
From all the fucking things we'll really do.
