Pleasure to read again. Favourite lines, that convey the emotion of the time:
My mind is weary from brokenness,
but my body finds strength

I’ve been divorced,it’s amazing looking back at how I felt around that time.this poem made me think of those dark feelings.definitely feel much better now lol.good writing here.

Were there at any point any feelings of déjà vu?
If maybe this felt like a familiar ritual which you had been through so many other times before.
The person may be new but actions and movements in many ways may be the same if some things have become instinctive and habitual.
