The Wordsmith
The wordsmith.
So wondrously ordained with
this great and magical gift.........
To take the smallest partical
The tiniest speck of an idea......
.....and from within his wrap, his brush and pallet can spin
Beautiful yarns, fabrics of bright
surreal colors that when assembled......
…...excite, enrage
motivate, crush, terrorize
seduce, inspire
enthrall and inflame the mortal soul......
......simply speaking words.
Oh yes. Thou art the captain of this most powerful vessel.
Yet as you traverse this undulating landscape,
one may never know what awaits, what the perils may be at end
or whom may fare the journey with you as it begins..........
….....or where and when the mutiny shall appear along the journey (surely it will come)
Subject to mortal folly, words shall do their bidding
stirring emotion, whimsy and fantasy
provoking sedition, yielding to dark seduction
Thy words breathe life and words bring death.
When all else is but dust and blown away, the only thing left will be.......
words.
So ….......
Wordsmith, great artisan supreme
Please remember this one, important thing
As you weave your incomparable, lyrical fabrique
It's innate beauty and splendor
Vividly rich colors and emotions; decidedly brilliant and deep
Pray you not become entangled within
the loom of your own...........
