Dahlias Bloom at Midnight
Burn me to ash, call your priests
feel my death and drown in my blood
How dare you walk where I once crawled,
laugh where I once flew as a butterfly
No one will leave flowers for my grave
yet dahlias bloom at midnight
How dare you in your hypocrisy
to have the audacity to scream foul
In your empty shell called life
while you swim with fish
You gave me no peace, I give you no lease
to spit on my grave as you smile
Your silver spoon will haunt your life
and I have no appetite to be more than I am
No one will leave flowers for my grave
yet dahlias bloom at midnight
feel my death and drown in my blood
How dare you walk where I once crawled,
laugh where I once flew as a butterfly
No one will leave flowers for my grave
yet dahlias bloom at midnight
How dare you in your hypocrisy
to have the audacity to scream foul
In your empty shell called life
while you swim with fish
You gave me no peace, I give you no lease
to spit on my grave as you smile
Your silver spoon will haunt your life
and I have no appetite to be more than I am
No one will leave flowers for my grave
yet dahlias bloom at midnight
