Eternal Student
The eternal student craves knowledge
And the depths of eternal wisdom
Not to fill the ego of self
But because they are in a constant covetous state of mine
Yearning to be fulfilled but not by outer sources such as materialism, temporary lovers and pleasures
But with what lies in between the lines of each academia consumed
And what the universe beyond the earthly bound must illuminate
They do not understand the entropy of life’s sufferance
They are derided for not taking interest in current high-class fashion and mudsling
Ridiculed for being socially impaired and not taking a mind to it
They embrace their dark reclusive path
Attentive and unintelligible, if you will
Intellectual and adept into the occult
They understand the irrevocably in certain past times,
Yet they remain in somber, as it is part of the human experience
Elusive being but open to the multitude perceptions of others
As they are aware perceptions are not universal truths
This openness keeps them humble and empathetic
Alchemic and psychedelic in order to transcend
Our human existence is a covenant between life and death

So, they search for the infinite bliss and wisdom that is available on this earthly bound until the time comes to ascend to the hierarchy of the higher grounds known as the cosmos

Gratitude to you to be able to share this perspective and outlook as we make our way through in this world.
For it is in learning about each other that we are able to know and grow as people.
It's also pleasurable and heartwarming for someone to be in the presence of a lady who loves and is always in black if the opportunity permits.

There is so much in this poem that I strongly identify with... being empathic, I've long been someone who is open to the perceptions of others, and I've been a social outcast for pretty much my whole life. We are all, in our own ways, eternal students... because one never stops learning, growing, and knowing new things! Especially when one walks a mystical path, which I happen to in this life and in others previous. It is ironic how the more in tune people are with the materialistic, with fitting in socially and doing the same as everyone else... the less they truly learn of the universe's mysteries. Whereas outcasts such as I, and you if your writings are anything to go by, have become wiser perhaps for being what many might term "different", whereas most do not understand that in being different sometimes one opens themself up unto much that others cannot even dream of. Your poetic dreams are darkly beautiful, and this poem is one of the very best of them for certain! :)
