It has always been my prayer that there will be that someday, somehow, someway
you'll just know without any doubts when you awaken after dreaming of me someday.

That I was not the one you should
have always let linger and fall to the back and behind
since we are somehow connected by soul, we're two hearts forever in meshed and entwined.

In fact I'm the one that will always
sate your undying hunger and unquenchable thirst
though I have never been considered as selected or chosen in your slot of first.

I have always believed since we've
met I have owned a key to unlock your sacred heart
though other's were always put in front of me I knew we had more than an ember or spark.

Never did I ever leave your side even if circumstances pulled us away or miles apart
I am the one who's been faithfully yours from day one, even before we knew we'd start.

So just maybe there'll be that day you'll turn around and still find me waiting patiently there
