Cinnamon Sticks

Autumn's essence of orange rinds
with leaves of gold and cinnamon sticks
holding hands with the wind
exploring the season

touched by the scent of cider
from the mill
in fields of apples
falling from trees

of life's romance
dropping dew on the grass
looking at love with different eyes
in my dream as crickets sing

of nature's solitude
as the boughs swing
in God's Jubilation
marking time with the equinox

with leaves of gold and cinnamon sticks
