Despise

Can't she see what she does to my heart and mind
Since I met her it's like the whole universe has realigned
Just to hear her voice and look into her eyes
Brings a fierce burning of love, that I've come to despise
 
How can I willingly expose all that I ever was, am, or wish to be
Raw emotions exposed, and her now knowing what drives me
To have her take her love and give it back whenever she likes
I still think life is worth living, but without her there is no life
  
The simplest of separations is like punishment to my soul
I can hear my spirit scream as I look out the window watching her hang clothes
I'm drawn to her, this glass holds to much distance
I promised to help with the house work, but I have no resistance
  
Before she knows it we are sharing the laundry
My life was already difficult, but with love it's a quandary
Chores must be shared so that there is more time shared
I'd enter a state of madness if she decided she no longer cared
  
If the very things that I always feared was to suddenly appear
Waking up in hell or life with her no longer here
To appear rational I'ld be forced to wait and see
If she is as miserable as Hell has made me
  
Because Hell is a jealous bitch, how dare you to had enjoyed Heaven
The hours of your days were unlimited, the days of your week was more than seven
In Love's grip we controlled our own space and time
With her allowing me to carry the basket as she took the last piece from the line
  
The dark thought from my mind begins to shrink
As we're sharing the dishes, standing at the sink
There it goes that fierce burning of love, that I've come to despise
As she looks up smiling with an "I love you," and staring me right in the eyes
