The Human Concept of Time and Love

Numb bodied aching in the dark
Staring blindly into nothing
Bedridden with heavy emotions
These gloomy summer days remind me of past times
Reminiscing of our wintertime lust
To be one is emanating
Your intelligence radiated these empty halls
Your fragrance still trapped on the tight corners of my bed
What I would do to feel your emotional depth once more
But the past and the present are unchangeable
The universe antagonizes me with its cruel concept of time
To accept this new physical reality is suicide to my psyche
What I would do to have our individual energies correspond once more
But in the end, I stand delusional and alone suffering in memory
Memories that once intertwined in both our minds simultaneously
When our wintertime lust turned into summertime love
The universe antagonizes me with its cruel concept of time
Reminding me nothing is real
Reminding me everything has an expiration date and must die
Some call it fate, but I recognize it as the universe antagonizing me
Reminding me the human concept of love is unreal
This human concept of love is so surreal
