She listens to the dark rain
Whispering Timpani
Lulling her to peaceful rest
From days that never end
She dreams of an unquiet sea
Where Poseidon�s wrath
Turns to calm
The thunder wakes her
And then the rain lulls her
Back to her ocean dreams

The sea is always such a muse. I am enamored by it as I know you are, as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the dreamy imagery and powerful metaphors. The impact and the dichotomy of 'whispering timpani' captures your attention like a whip crack!! Terrifically visceral...
