Love's Equation

Love is simply a tease, a game that I never truly understood
The math is simply to complicated when calculating someone's mood
There's Trig and Statics involved with the human heart
But the Physics and Calculus of the human brain say there's not

Relationships added and then subtracted from my life
Irrationals became rationals, dam near becoming my wife
Probability posing as certainty right before my very eyes
The root being squared, the whys that I dispise

Never possessing the whole, only a fraction or a ratio
There is no laws or formula to solve this equation, you know
One plus one should equal two times one
But I'm still stuck at one and all the solving is done

Division was done before I multiplied
Someone subtracted before I added or even tried
The real world doesn't make sense, quantum physics were applied
In this version of reality, it doesn't matter if love lied

In this world, fantasy is reality and reality is fantasy
Who cares if the numbers work out, it doesn't matter to me
For love to lie, could be hate telling the truth
There is no love for me and the numbers are the proof

I stood alone on a dune in middle of the desert watching as love sank down
Here in the middle of no wheres with only me and the numbers around
Zeros and ones written across the sky trying to show me that love adds up
But I stand in singularity accusing even the number of being corrupt
