Whispers in dark corners/while starring in the eyes of a beholder/wanting to draw closer/and yet trying to play soldier/fear of trespass/while throwing up the white flag/a white flag that resembles peace/while trying to release what's hidden within/combat ready and smiling around those you call friend/walls crumbling and world War 3 occurring internally/while holding a grin/can one tell me when this cycle will end/

Seeking sanctuary/ while only finding a cell/hopes of getting to heaven while living in hell/paradise awaits and yet you can't even tell/ is it even worth coming out of your shell/internally you yell but your lips are sealed/ no emotional badges/ no one knows how you feel/fear of ridicule for your strength is suppose to resemble steel/ and no matter how tight your defenses are/ you're still vulnerable to an Achilles Heel/
The greatest question begins to grow/ and that is should you continue to stand your ground or just let it go/ letting go of all defenses and be an open door/ while exposing every scar and sore/ risking being hurt to your very core/ and finding yourself at a place where you doubt one who hears you is even a Lord/ the more you fight the more its hard/ and you're asking yourself how long and or how far/  how long can you hold on and how far have this gone/ you try to seek salvation in the words of songs/but no matter the melody the conflict remains/ almost like a white shirt with a big grape stain/

Maybe the cause of your pain is because you insist to refrain from being free/ because with being free/ you free yourself from your version of security/ the defenses that keeps the wolves at bay/ is the very thing that's causing your conflict day after day/ you relive your pain only to bring up your walls and the more pain is thrown at you the more your walls stand fortified and tall/ even though you block the pain from coming in/ you also block the very thing that can put this cycle to an end/It's only when your defenseless when your endless cycle can stop/and your new life can begin
