Love the read. Escaping the mundane everyday stuff - to something
beneath the skin - that you don't see - but you can feel it. A relentless calling.
I so get it. Huge part of that for me is writing amongst other things:) LOL

That blue is so vivid - almost blinding. Love it!!

I admit I read this in a different way. The validation part for me was recognition. Being seen and heard from a point of view for glory, celebrity. For me, that was the breakthrough from the mundane. Just being looked at and set apart for a minute. I like this poem for the different ways you can interpret and construct it.

Yes. This is a break away from the pack write.  Escaping from the norms.  Not being satisfied with standard fare.  The painting is layers upon layers of structure and intricate thoughts...

Mundane is so boring, definitely not for us.
Why can't I always be flying damnit?
You can have wings in hell... horns too.
That's where the dark chamber resides.
This agenda is going to be hard work.
Definitely no pretending with me.
Taking each other apart is always fun.
Candles with a scent, and binding tight.
I know you need relentless validation.
So I will pretend to too. For consistency...

If it doesn't fly, we'll make it better

You missed your calling.  You could sell your poems displayed on your paintings in New York City, and be rich.  I have no doubt whatsoever.  
You have a unique gift, PS.  We are the most fortunate audience to see it for free.

Believe it or not I've thought about that concept.

I always enjoy your paintings but I think this is my favorite. I've always liked blue with a the hint of yellow (when I used to draw back in my high school days), and how for some reason the yellow seemed to jump out of the page. You inspire other folks brother, through words and visuals.
