I must have a purpose

There's still plenty of time to succeed, whatever success is, lol. It's a broad spectrum, that's why I'm laughing. To me, success is having loads of money, beer & birds (women). Notice that I left out the small detail of having to graft (work) for it. If I have to work for it, somehow that feels like failure to me right now. I just wanna do something I enjoy & so should you! My belief is that you will succeed (whatever your mindset says success is), partly cos you're only 24, as you say. Find this link below to copy & paste for inspiration. Thank you for this thoughtful comment. However the poem is about not succeeded at ending my life. When I referenced not waking up tomorrow. That is what I meant. Which is why I thank God that i haven’t succeeded.

Oh no, you don't wanna succeed in ending your life if you can help it. You need hope & I do sincerely hope you have found it or some inner belief at least to carry you forward. Even so though, songs do uplift us, the right ones, lol. :-) But I mean it...here comes success (the right kind).

I just edited so it ends positively because that’s originally what I intended it to be. I am actually doing quite well, Im about to get a proportion at my work, and ive been going to regular therapy to work through my trauma.

What do you mean by take good breaks?

I mean roll with it. I guess there has been a lot of negativity surrounding you lately, judging by the poems you have been writing. What I really mean is, I hope you continue to embrace good fortune (well deserved, I'm sure) when it comes your way. It's about time nice things started happening to you & long may that continue. I thought this poem was so relatable in learning about ourselves as we muddle through this quagmire called life. I enjoyed the positive aspect of finding purpose and grateful you didn’t “succeed” in pursuing the other avenue of thought. That would have been a huge loss the world over. I love your shining light.
