I smile inside myself and sigh
holding the hurt to my bosom and cry
tender feelings spring inside me
I nurture them giving them my love
they are my soul's flavor

gentleness within the storm
singing to the listening
it is and it is beautiful to my eyes

I look out at all of you
how blind I've been
lovely ones of the knowledge
patiently evolving
growing in wisdom
