Teardrops

It was my need for more that drove her into his arms
Needing more of what it took for me to live
More of her time, just to walk through the fields of her mind
To look into her eyes, while listening to her voice

I needed more of her, which she couldn't give
She said that she needed more time for her emotions to build
For now let's just leave things exactly as they are
But I was down here on earth, while she walked among the stars

The approach of night brought to me a real fear
The fear of being caught outside at night, and possibly looking up
Of seeing the brilliance of your beauty lying upon the the bed of the night sky
And here on earth I am as any mortal man

To figure out who I am, I must figure out who I am not
Am I this pain that I feel within my heart
For Mars is no mortal man and he dared to lay claim
And she gave him freely, his every demand

Her time that he didn't want, she freely gave
She ran behind a man, that didn't have the time
He wanted to leave things as they were
Haha he needed time for his emotions to build

There will come a time after spending time with Medusa
That I can again look into the night sky
With emotions of the tundra and a heart of stone
I can see Mars lying with you and not shed a single tear
