Being Configured For Another Country

Many don’t realise how big the struggle can be
To be able to adopt and adapt to another language and way of life
Moving away from home to a culture that rejects and disregards all that you loved dearly
The voices and sounds that make you who you are as a human being
Sights of family and friends who have been in your life from childhood
From a carefree spirited life to a mean distant existence of loneliness
Where closeness and oneness of the togetherness of people is absent
Replaced by everything and anything that is empty and cruel
Change devouring in clearing its path to consuming progress
Once fully accepted by the new society
There is nothing left of yourself
At the genesis of being a journeyman where many characters have been taken and disappeared
Each time compromises of themselves were made
To fit into the company of the right people
Have new connections to open doors that lead to prosperity
Kind words to sweeten the tongue to open the kitty
Mingling in situationships instead of building lasting sustainable relationships
Exhausted into retirement
After the significance of your pleasure has been exposed and disposed
An empty shell now tossed aside with no one to hold
Lost in the business of busyness
