Although angels in your eyes
there is a devil in my coffee
with the madness of caffeine
blinding me of my sanity
dripping through a filter
with my life's elegy
like kissing death's twisted sister
with a mirror reflecting my identity
over my naked prose
with a shadow waiting at my door
percolating evermore
