This is for the greatest person
that I have ever really known.
Being away from you for so long
makes me feel so very alone.
 
You make so very, very happy
keeping my heart truly content.
So, I've chosen to often volunteer
and into the wild blue yonder I went.
 
That's where I found my heart
and how I honestly feel for you.
I know I can't deny this feeling
but what else can I say or do?
 
I said that I wouldn't ever again
let someone take ahold my heart.
But, here I am wanting you
hating the fact that we're apart.
 
Everyday you are in my thoughts,
every night you're in my dreams.
Can't believe what's really happening,
is this really what it feels & seems?
 
I know you've only ever wanted
to be the bestest of best friends.
But, I am asking you sincerely
if this, your rule you'll bend?
 
To take a chance to know me
and to let me share in it all.
And maybe just one day, someday
you'll decide I'm worth the fall.
 
The friendship we now have
is something that I'd truly miss.
