hurting in the shade the sun is angered
he will have my faith
I squander the truth on the unhearing
it does nothing for a blind man, a rainbow, a promise
I keen then I pick up my metaphors and walk
sifting through my thoughts
wondering after love
I wander in its greatness
and realize I'm still too young
it is heady and unyielding
I try to catch a tornado
it twist my feelings then awaken a beast
a child woman walking in my shoes
when will I evolve?

Your last line reminds me of a poem I read sometime ago. One of the lines went: 'we are monsters birthed early from a mothers womb, not yet ready to live.' I wish I could remember the author.

it twist my feelings then awaken a beast" speaking of twisters and tornadoes, it's as if the universe is talking to us all when these emotions feel exactly like that.
