Whispered Lies

Dear A,

Family! 🙄
The lies and secrets they keep and tell. To what end? It’s maddening. I really appreciated this poem because the crazy that is generated in families is nuts. I think this is so important to spotlight because we all experience this in some fashion and have a reluctance to call it out. Great piece. H🌷

Hi H:)

Ohhh man, the list can go on and on. I'm really close with a few
of my relatives - others I just distanced myself from. I got too many
great things going on in my life. I don't need the drama. Took me a while but I've got a lot of wonderful friends that I can truly count on.
Gotta surround yourself with positive energy and at the same time
wish them well;)

And yes - They have been verbally called out many times:)
I think that's why they secretly plot my doom. LOL

I enjoy the images.
Limestone:  the deposit from where the ocean covered the earth, and the deposits of marine animal skeletons, organisms, and calcium carbonate built up over time.
A contrast:  the insects with the limestone of the house.

Yes they do. I truly wish them well but at the same time I need to keep my sanity. I've drifted away from certain people I grew up with. It's sad if you think about it - but I wouldn't change a thing.

I guess, yeah, you could call my family Shakespearean with all the drama. LOL
Ughh, this was from a long time ago when I was struggling through a few things. I occasionally like looking back at my older stuff and reflecting a bit. I polished this up before I posted.

My old spirals are a mess. LOL  Phrases written all over the page cause I hate erasing so I jot it down somewhere on the same page. All out of order with arrows pointing where I think it would go. Like a scattered puzzle that isn't put together. Hope that makes sense.
If not - I tried. LOL

You are lucky in that aspect. I grew up with a lot of family.
We all got along until we got older. Things change and you drift apart.
Gossip and jealousy grew like weeds with some. For me the only thing
that is forever is my immediate family. My parents and my boys.
Other than that - they can all go take a hike:)

I am sure everyone can definitely relate to this in one way or another. You have such beautiful metaphors and I always adore the unique and powerful imagery you create. How often we hear about whispered lies from so many places; it might be extended family, or work, or friends, or even on social media. Those lies always seem to get back to the person they are about. I suppose when they are swarming that's always bound to happen. Some people spread that paint of pain so easily while trying to blackout the truth. Usually the biggest lies are the ones they tell about themselves. It's sad how often people actually believe the lies; that's why actions speak louder than words. I love how you expressed how damaging and pointless lies can be, a really amazing write.

LOL. I just finished commenting on your poem. Too funny.

What else is there to say - lies spread like wildfire. Even like the holy gospel - as if preaching a sermon trying to convince people to believe.
I truly think they got nothing better to do. Got no life or anything positive to say. This was written years ago in my earlier stages of writing and needed an outlet. It worked:)

Whenever you wrote this, you were obviously at a point of deep thinking.  Because this pulls from that depth in us, that dark thoughts churn.  

It's so well written btw.  It's easy to be one of those pennies along with you.

Yes - definitely in a deep point of thinking cause I was pissed!! LOL
Anger and hurt feelings can pull and pull till you gotta act out
or write. For me - I chose to write.

They do - totally agree. It speaks volumes of the other person
and their motives. Especially when it's none of their business to begin with.
