I'm cursed and blessed to always love you
Broken or whole or anything between
Our emotions are tie dye explosions
Swirls of toxic gases and sweet perfumes
Softness and sharp; pain and pleasure  
Antidote and poison; so many sets of twos
My life lost color when you weren't there
Reds of you, blues of me and purples of us
Our story stains my mind and rips at reality  
And I broke my heart so desperately
Trying to fit someone in that space you belong
I want you to be that constant presence  
The past and the present blur at your name
And I am so fortunate that we get to be friends
Because friendship is enough for me
You fill that space in my heart just being there

And that I will always in some way be your blue
It took years to accept the truth of us
