Days Of Darragh

Feels like I'm heading back to the good old days of Darragh.
Back to those happy, carefree, lazy, hazy days,
When all I cared about was how you felt!
Still, I wish I could have read you then.

I was only seventeen, d'ya know what I mean?
I didn't have the maturity to handle you,
Handle you emotionally anyway!
In hindsight, it's a good job I couldn't read your mind,
'Cos I wouldn't have liked what I saw inside -
Not that I knew at the time!

Fast forward twenty seven years,
And I've got the same feeling again.
It's not about you this time though -
Still I'm buzzing, glowing, going, gone...

Got the feeling the sun's a little brighter,
And the air a little lighter.
My sight's a little clearer,
Smells are smelling slightly sweeter,
And my ears, they hear a little louder.
Everything around feels fresh again -
I love the beauty that surrounds me.

I'm basically rediscovering my youth,
So locked away was I, felt like I was dying;
But you stopped me crying, lying, sighing, resigning...

You saved me girl because I realise it's love,
And I will never need anything more...

Ever again.
