Eat, Drink, and be Merry!

Your anger will unbalance you
Claimed all the wise men ever,
And your soul, with hell, misconstrue,
To think bitterness is clever.
That's evil's favorite recipe
For getting humans off their game
And is just as bogus as can be
To try and have me be the same.
It's levity that people love
And maintaining a happy mood
As if we were a hungry dove
Pecking apart a sack of food!
Our preference is for merriment
Provided no one will get hurt
Or witness their life savings spent
Chasing a floozy in a skirt,
But even that's a better fate...
Then one more moment full of hate.
