As the moon

My Love,
again I long for you
As often as I miss you
Through the moments of the days
(And nights)
Sometimes desire comes so softly creeping
On padded silent paws
prowling through my mind
Purring memories and musings
as you crept subtly into my life and heart
so many years (and lives) ago
At other times you come,
passion pouncing
prompting gasps and skipped heart-beats
The craving stronger
Crashing through my nerves and muscles
Washes over through me
As if your skin were touching mine
Though you are farther than that silent moon
and more silent than its darkest phase
Yet it hears my whispered secrets
(As, I think, do you)
reflecting back that light of hope
Sometimes a bright full moon
Sometimes a sliver
Sometimes blotted out
Blackening my heart to tears
because, as always,
I miss you so, my Dear
