My tears have melted
Again and again
Pattering your heart with pleas
trickling in search of entry
Turned away

Vulnerable

i bared my naked honesty
my gift of trust
discarded…Unwanted

For a joyous moment
You blessed my hope
with recognition
Now
To harden your heart
and turn away
Deaf & blind
Unfeeling

Tears, trust, hope
Have failed me
Now I cling alone

To the ticking clock of Time

Time, please don’t fail me
Time, return that hope & trust & love
Time, be kind—
fulfill my desire
satisfy my need
return his love to me.
